Turns Out Bring Me The Horizon’s New Single Was Originally Written For Limp Bizkit

We’ve just been rocked by the explosive revelation that Bring Me The Horizon inherited their mean-riffing new banger ‘Wonderful Life’ after Limp Bizkit rejected it.

The news has come straight from the Sheffield metalcore horses’ proverbial mouth, with BMTH frontman Oli Sykes revealing that he and production guru Jordan Fish teamed up with none other than the man himself Fred red-cap-to-the-back Durst last year to work on Bizkit’s new album.

“It just didn’t work out, to be honest. He just didn’t show up most of the time,” Sykes fesses to BBC Radio 1.

“Lovely guy, but I don’t think he was ready to make an album. I think he was pushed into it a bit, like, his managers and people said ‘These are the guys you want to work with’,” the wailer continues.

“So we gave him all these ideas and I mean it was just bad from day one, to be honest.

“One good thing came out of it: me and Jordan wrote this riff and I one day decided the tempo and key matched almost perfectly with the song. So we de-Bizkit‘d it a bit, and it ended up sounding pretty sick.”

Yeah it did. Although truth be told we’d be intrigued AF to hear the Bizkit’d version too.

Still, we’re glad BMTH decided to ~keep on rollin’~ with the ~re-arranged~ rendition.

‘Wonderful Life’ surprisingly features Cradle Of Filth’s Dani Filth and is the second single to be lopped off Bring Me’s sixth studio album Amo, which is now due out on Friday, 25th January 2019 after the fellas shifted the release date back by two weeks.

ICYMI: Bring Me The Horizon are also set to return to Australia in April of 2019 for a headline tour across Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.

Listen to ‘Wonderful Life’ below, and try to imagine it with Durst’s vocals instead of Oli’s if you dare.
