Here Are The Results Of The Hottest 100-Style Countdown For The Best Heavy Metal Songs Of All Time

The results for The Faction‘s Hardest 100 have been revealed, showing the most popular heavy metal songs of all time according to listeners.

The Hottest 100-style countdown by Australia’s newest radio station zoning in on metal and other heavy genres ran revealed its results this weekend with British metalcore band Architects taking out the top spot.

After 15,000 votes were tallied Architects’ 2017 track ‘Doomsday’ took the crown followed by Metallica’s ‘Master Of Puppets’ and Parkway Drive’s ‘Carrion’.

Both of those latter bands proved to be very popular in the countdown nabbing seven spots each.

While the top spot was taken by a song from this decade, fives decades were well represented with the ’90s the most popular of them all.

Parkway Drive and Polaris were the only Australian bands in the top 10 but there were 21 Australian artists in the countdown altogether.
