Arctic Monkeys and The Last Shadow Puppets frontman Alex Turner undoubtedly has one of the most iconic and powerful voices of his generation, but as it turns out he’s not half bad at imitating other unique vocal styles either.
A clip of Turner signing karaoke has surfaced thanks to Spanish music blog Binaural. The clip shows Turner at a house party having a red hot go at Santana & Rob Thomas’ classic 1999 track ‘Smooth’.
The footage itself is absolutely hilarious, with Turner really getting into it, but he manages to really go for the seductive Thomas vocal and pulls it off really well.
He even sits down and embraces a cat later in the video, for some reason.
While Turner released a new album with The Last Shadow Puppets just last year, the latest news we’ve heard from Turner with regards to his other project is that he’s in “no rush” to release a new Arctic Monkeys.
Their last record AM was released in 2013.
