Nope, this is not a drill or a prank. Run The Jewels have re-affirmed their status as general top blokes of the music industry and decided that the time to release their new album is right friggin’ now.
By all accounts RTJ3 was supposed to drop on Friday, 13th January but Killer Mike and El-P have decided to delve even deeper into the Christmas spirit and release the record on Christmas day.
In a video uploaded to Twitter with the caption ‘IT’S A CHRISTMAS F***ING MIRACLE,’ the duo simply said “Merry Christmas motherfuckers from Run The Jewels. Here’s the album!”

In the lead up to Christmas they dropped a couple of tracks from their third record, and were also selling these amazing ugly Xmas sweaters – and not only is RTJ3 out now, the digital download is also 100% free!
RTJ3 features heaps of collaborators including TJ3 will feature the likes of Danny Brown, Kamasi Washington, Tunde Adebimpe (TV on the Radio), Trina and Boots, and more.
