Veteran singer-songwriter Rodriguez has cancelled his extensive 2019 Australian tour, due to illness.
In a statement, Frontier Touring and Roundhouse Entertainment said “due to medical restrictions, Rodriguez’s planned shows in Australia and New Zealand in February and March have been cancelled”.
“Rodriguez is very upset at having to let anyone down, and apologises to everyone affected for the inconvenience caused,” the statement reads.
“Frontier Touring and Roundhouse Entertainment wish Rodriguez a speedy recovery. Rodriguez is looking forward to being able to return to Australia and New Zealand when he has fully recovered. Details of a new tour will be announced in due course.”

Rodriguez was scheduled to embark on an Australian headlining tour across Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne, Darwin, Hobart and Perth with support from the likes of Sarah Blasko and Caiti Baker, while also headlining three special events for A Day On The Green at wineries in Queensland, Victoria and South Australia.
