Why can’t all music beefs be like this?
It’s no secret that neighbours Robbie Williams and Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page haven’t exactly had the best relationship since the two shared a neighbourhood, and now noted prankster Williams has apparently turned his Dennis The Menace levels up to eleven with his latest antics.
According to The Telegraph, Williams has been blasting Black Sabbath, Pink Floyd and Deep Purple – aka Led Zeppelin’s music rivals – to wind Page up, but he hasn’t stopped there. He has also reportedly even gone as far as to imitate Zeppelin frontman Robert Plant. He does this by wearing a long wig and putting a pillow up his shirt.
Robbie doesn’t mess about, does he?
The two have had a cliché neighbour feud for a while now, ever since Williams wanted to build a basement gym and a pool at his home five years ago. Page objected to the request, fearing that the work would encroach and damage his property – which is a mansion built in 1875.
Williams was ultimately given approval for his renovations, but not without his builders getting fined for breaching noise restrictions following a complaint by – you guessed it – Page.
2019 is off to a flying start, friends.
