They may have been blacklisted by the Chinese Government, but local punks Frenzal Rhomb have a new album in the bag, so they’re taking the damn thing on a national tour between June and August.
Frenzal’s ninth studio album is titled Hi-Vis High Tea, and is set for release on 26th May. Once it’s out, the band are heading on the road for a stack of 11 new shows around Australia, and supporting a bunch of the shows will be none other than perennial party-starters Totally Unicorn. According to Frenzal Rhomb, Hi-Vis High Tea is “a concept album about a whole bunch of different concepts”. The album was recorded by Bill Stevenson (Descendents, Black Flag) and Jason Livermore at The Blasting Room in Fort Collins, Colorado, and features 20 songs over 30 erratic minutes.
Our first taste of the record comes in the form of ‘Cunt Act’, which is boasting an awesome animated video by Frenzal Rhomb collaborator Fox Trotsky of Xray Studios. “Learn [the song], coz your kids are gonna get it tattooed on their faces,” the band say.
