Brisbane’s Gabba Braces For Dunny Drama Ahead Of Historically Huge Adele Concerts

Organisers of Adele’s imminent godzilla-sized gigs at The Gabba next weekend — which together represent arguably the biggest music event in the history of Queensland — are savvily pre-empting dunny dramas by upping the bladder-to-bathroom ratio at the Brisbane venue.

They’ve reportedly enlisted hundreds of port-a-loos to help relieve female fans attending the pop megastar’s Brissie shows, which will see the 42,000 capacity Gabba boosted to 60,000 (that’s 10K more than Suncorp Stadium, FYI) for the sold-out concerts next Saturday and Sunday night.

According to Courier Mail, organisers are planning to set up a legion of 180 mobile crap-houses outside the venue on Vulture and Main streets (on the western side of the stadium) to ~ease the strain~ on the women’s bathrooms, as 60% of ticket-holders are estimated to be female.

The last major concert to be held at the Gabba was by Aussie rockers Sherbet all the way back in 1973, with the Adele double-header to see an unprecedented 120,000 music fans descend upon the cricket ground over two nights, which a potent combo of Google & maths tells us represents roughly 36,000 litres of urine from female fans alone.

Brisbane transport boss and Deputy Mayor Adrian Schrinner has also warned punters to brace for traffic chaos, saying the back-to-back Adele concerts would be “the biggest events we’ve ever had to deal with” in terms of bus transport, and advising concert-goers to leave home a whopping THREE HOURS early to ensure they make it to the venue on time for the show’s 7.30pm start.

However, concert promoters Live Nation have since hosed down those claims, clarifying that they’ve devised a comprehensive traffic management plan, which includes a fleet of almost 400 free shuttle buses to service the venue (which frustratingly has no train station nearby).

They have advised attendees to expect long wait times getting in and out of the venue, though.

Meanwhile, ICYMI, the multiple Grammy-winning kween Adele herself has already landed in the country ahead of her first Aussie concert in Perth this Tuesday.
