Bach Preludium Clavier-Buchlein vor Wilhelm Friedemann Bach, Nr. 4
I’ve been learning bandoneon for just 9 1/2 months at this point. Unfortunately, I had been practicing so much (for the fast part at the end), the fingers on my left hand started experiencing a lot of pain. It’s not the first time I experienced pain in that area, so I really have to take it easy. I probably would have gotten it to where I wanted with another 1 week of practicing. Maybe I’ll make another attempt to record it at a later date. But for the time being, I am proud to share this.
I’m using the bellows both in and out. Highly difficult in the sense that I must practice each measure one hand at a time, then two hands, then repeating a dozen times or more. Then the next day, I have to do the same. I learn about 2-4 measures a day on average. It takes me a week to play those measures without stopping, albeit slowly. But by breaking things down to the measure, it really allows me to learn a lot faster than just going through the whole piece.
