The ARIA Awards have paid tribute to late AC/DC guitarist Malcolm Young, with Jimmy Barnes performing a moving tribute to the rocker with a cover of Acca Dacca’s ‘High Voltage’.
Barnesy took to the stage at the conclusion of tonight’s ceremony to perform the track in Young’s honour, giving it his signature grunt and passion.
It was a fitting conclusion to a night which saw Gang Of Youths, Paul Kelly, Amy Shark and A.B. Original all take home multiple ARIAs.
Barnsey himself nabbed his first ARIA since 1992, which was actually for Best Children’s Album.
Malcolm Young’s funeral took place in Sydney earlier today, where hundreds of people gathered at St Mary’s Cathedral to celebrate his life.
