Footage has emerged of singer-songwriter Kirin J Callinan flashing his penis at the 2017 ARIA Awards, an incident which recently led to his removal from the 2018 Laneway Festival lineup.
Callinan flashed photographers during ARIAs’ red carpet proceedings in Sydney in November, and while the incident caused some controversy at the time, (SFW) footage of the flashing has now emerged.
Neil Finn, frontman of New Zealand band Crowded House — who Callinan opened for at two Sydney Opera House shows last year — has taken to Twitter to share footage of the incident, and to question Laneway Festival over Callinan’s ousting.
“Laneway Festival pulled Kirin J Callinan from the lineup for this??? Ridiculous,” he wrote.

Responding to followers on Twitter, Finn said, “Everybody’s waiting for someone to behave badly at the music awards.”
Last month, Laneway Festival act Miss Blanks confirmed she was partly responsible for Callinan’s removal from the Laneway lineup, after she raised concerns about the ARIAs incident with festival organisers.
Callinan has since defended Miss Blanks, and has told his fans not to harass or criticise her.
Callinan is scheduled to support Mac DeMarco’s Laneway sideshows in Sydney and Melbourne later this month.
