Prepare your TV screens because they’re about to get blasted with a feature-length dose of 100% undiluted Barnesy.

A new doco based on Aussie rock ledgehmmer Jimmy Barnes‘ 2016 memoir Working Class Boy is officially in the works and set to beam directly into our eyeballs in 2018.

As The Music reports, the movie-length slice of ~stone cold~ ~good times~ is set to air on the Seven Network, and — like its source material — will focus on the story of Barnesy’s hectic childhood surviving the slums of Glasgow (working hard to make a livin’, bringin’ shelter from the raiiiin), his big move to Australia and the highs and lows of his career with the great Cold Chisel.

The CJZ-produced doco will (naturally) come packing a soundtrack performed by Barnesy himself.

This absolutely fucking thrilling news comes after the great man himself announced a monster 30-date music & spoken word tour across the nation in celebration of the second instalment of his memoir Working Class Man and — just as importantly — after Kirin J Callinan’s sample of him screaming became the internet’s hottest new meme.

Why isn’t this guy PM?
