They’re back! Not even a year since they were last in Australia to headline Splendour In The Grass, US rockers Queens Of The Stone Age have announced plans to return to our shores with a huge new stack of tour dates.
After a bit of teasing from promoters Frontier Touring, Josh Homme and company have announced they’ll return down under this August and September for the official Aussie leg of their Villains world tour, in honour of their 2017 album of the same name.
“Everybody who knows me knows that Australia is my home away from home,” says Homme.
QOTSA have announced seven huge all-ages shows across Brisbane, Newcastle, Sydney, Hobart, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth, and they’ll be bringing a very special guest along for the ride.
Australian blues maestro C.W. Stoneking will support the band at all of their Aussie dates, and it’s little wonder they picked him for the job. ICYMI: Homme previously credited Stoneking with inspiring some of the sounds on Villains .
