US producer Porter Robinson has announced that he’s adopting an alias for a side-project called Virtual Self.

He dropped the first single for the project ‘Eon Break’ accompanied by a very cryptic video with some even more cryptic questions included in it.

He posted it to Twitter with the question, “The technic-Angel’s cry is beginning. What is imagined?”

In true Porter fashion, it’s a question that means nothing and everything at the same time and you’ll be glad to know that he only asks more questions in the YouTube description for the video.

“Will you self-Believe the joyful sky?” is his final question, at the end of a list of many.

While Robinson released his last album Worlds back in 2014, he’s been experimenting with things since. Last year he collaborated with fellow producer Madeon on ‘Shelter’ and followed it up with a world tour that included an Australian stop earlier this year.

It’s unknown whether he’ll unleash a full Virtual Self project. Stay tuned.
